Laura Silverstone kicks-off European tour with Tartan Day gig in Glasgow

Scots-based guitar sensation Laura Silverstone kicks-off her European spring tour on Sunday with an intimate gig celebrating Tartan Day in Glasgow.

The former Spain’s Got Talent finalist, who also wowed fans with her lap-tap performance at Celtic Connections in January, will play an acoustic set at The Clutha Bar (6 April), followed by dates in London, Germany, Switzerland, France, and the Netherlands.

She will also be recording a new EP while in Germany for release later this year, following the success of her mesmerising 2024 album, Heartwood, which amassed an impressive 20,000 streams in its launch week.

Having previously opened for Australian sensation Steph Strings on her European tour, Laura is returning to the Continent after spending the winter writing new material. She will also be documenting her journey on Instagram as usual for her army of social followers.

Her tour schedule includes Glasgow, a London show on April 10, followed by performances in Germany: Düsseldorf (12 Apr), Aachen (13 Apr), Saarland (17 Apr); Switzerland: Buchs (18 Apr), Au (19 Apr); France: Parzac (26 Apr), Charroux (27 Apr); and the Netherlands: Dinteloord (3 May), Delft, Netherlands (4 May). Additional UK dates and festival appearances will be announced soon.

“Scotland is very much my home now, so kicking-off the tour with some tartan flair just felt right to me,” said Laura, “and I’ll be carrying that amazing Scottish spirit as I travel right across Europe.”

The Basque-born guitar virtuosa will also make her highly anticipated debut at the award-winning HebCelt Festival in the Outer Hebrides this July, sharing the stage with Scottish legend Lulu, supergroup Skerryvore, Highland heroes Tide Lines and fellow Edinburgh favourite Nina Nesbitt, as well as playing other events across summer.

Speaking about the upcoming live dates, Laura said: “The love and support I’ve received for my music and live performances has been more than I could have ever imagined. It’s really amazing when you realise that people who you’ve never met before have found this amazing connection to your music. I can’t wait to get back on stage and share my new  songs with them.

“It’s been hard to spend the winter away from performing and focusing on what I want to bring into the world. I’ve been working hard and pouring my heart into writing new music and working on some exciting surprises to take my sound to the next level. Now, I’m finally ready to share it all with audiences wherever I can. I’m also so excited to be recording in Germany and releasing new music later this year.”

Laura’s star continues to rise after reaching the live finals of Spain’s Got Talent and receiving glowing reviews for her performance at world-famous Celtic Connections in Glasgow and being awarded ‘best musician’ by the Fringe buskers awards.

She added: “I have so many people in my life pouring so much love to me, I feel so lucky. It’s surreal seeing people connect with my songs and support me in such a deep and personal way. Their energy and enthusiasm inspire me constantly.

“Performing in Glasgow at Celtic Connections in January was an incredible thrill, especially knowing it was being broadcast live on the radio. Being part of such a close-knit and talented musical community was an honour. Glasgow and London will be extra special because fans there just love live music, it’s always such an appreciating crowd.

“I’m also beyond excited to tour Europe again and meet new fans and sing my songs with them. You never know what will happen when you take a leap, but if you dare to try, you just might find out, which is what this tour is all about.”
